    Select which board(s) you would like to apply for. All boards with the exception of Crime Control & Prevention District (CCPD) are appointed in October. CCPD board members are appointed each year in August.

  4. Most boards require residency within the Town of Argyle.  The Municipal Development District requires residency within the Town of Argyle or within the Town's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). You can verify your jurisdiction through the Denton CountY Appraisal District website by choosing the property search link at :

    Any member of town boards or committees absent for three consecutive meetings of the respective board or committee shall be deemed to have vacated their office, unless due to sickness, and may be removed by a majority vote of the Town Council. 

  12. Background Check
    The Town Council approved Resolution 2021-08, adopting a policy and procedure for board and commission members to complete a background check. All appointments to the Town of Argyle's boards and commissions are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates, as deemed necessary.
