The court office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

5. What forms of payment does the court accept?

For payments in person, the Argyle Municipal Court accepts cash, money orders, personal checks, cashier’s checks, all major credit cards (no American Express) convenience fee and processing fees apply. The credit/debit card and checks must be in your name with ID. The court accepts checks, cashier's checks or money orders ONLY for payments by mail. For online payments, the court accepts credit or debit cards, except American Express. Pay Online

6. What if I want to enter a plea of "not guilty" and have a trial?

You have the right to a trial by a jury or you may request a bench trial. If you would like a trial, you must make your request in writing in person or by mail, on or before your initial appearance date which is the date listed on the bottom of your citation.

7. What if I want to enter a plea of "no contest" or "guilty" and don't want to appear in court?

The Argyle Municipal Court does not require your appearance before the judge in open court if you are an adult over the age of 17 years old and you would like to enter a plea of "guilty" or "no contest."

8. What is acceptable attire for a court appearance?

Dress is business casual. No shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, hats or sunglasses are accepted in the courtroom.

9. Where can I pay a citation or fine?

10. Where can I renew my drivers license?

Argyle Municipal Court does not handle license renewals.
