[ARCHIVED] Updated - PACE Public Input Meeting Scheduled for McCutchin Rezoning Proposal

McCutchin Concept Plan Revised 1.11.2021

Updated January 11, 2021 –The Town of Argyle and the Developer of the McCutchin tract have made a change to the concept plan, which was released prior to the PACE meeting to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall on January 13, 2020.   The developer, at the Town’s request, has removed the reference to a 20-foot emergency access easement, which was going to be located at the west end of Forest Trail.  The concept plan has been modified to reflect a 10-foot wide equestrian entrance from Forest Trail to the extensive trail system the developer will be installing within the development.  The PACE meeting's primary purpose is to gather citizens' input and work with the developer to make modifications to the concept plan that reflect the desires of the citizens wherever possible, such as this modification (click here for updated concept plan). The Town has done this in this case. Please attend the PACE meeting in person or virtually.

Citizens are invited to meet with the developer on a proposed rezoning request for a new residential development on the McCutchins property, consisting of approximately 220 acres located on the south side of FM 407, approximately 1,900' east of I-35W. The developer, Centurion American, has a pending Preliminary Plat named Avalon Business Park before the Town Council for a proposed 18-lot commercial development under the Community Retail (CR) Zoning District. The Town Council has tasked Town staff to work with the developer to minimize impacts on the surrounding area. The developer has prepared an alternative concept plan (click here for concept plan) for a new residential development on this property and is seeking input from the surrounding citizens in this area.

This meeting will be held in person from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Argyle Town Hall, located at 308 Denton St. Argyle, Texas 76226. Seating will be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. This meeting will also be held virtually via Zoom meeting (click here for Zoom meeting link) to allow citizens and interested persons to attend online and express their views on the proposed project. Maps and exhibits showing the proposed project's location and design will be available for viewing at the public meeting. Written comments from the public regarding this project are requested and will be accepted as well.

For any questions on this proposed development, please contact Town staff at 940-464-7273 or via email at dhawkins@argyletx.com.
