ARGYLE, TX (November 30, 2020) – the Town of Argyle is pleased to share that we will begin the Crawford Road reconstruction project on December 14, 2020. The Town Council awarded the contract to Jagoe Public Co. in October.
Construction will begin at the intersection of Crawford Road and John Paine Road. A roundabout will be installed at this location. The contractor will be able to keep 2-lanes of traffic open on Crawford Road until February 2021. Then in February, only one-lane of westbound traffic will be allowed from John Paine Road to I-35W. A detour route has been established utilizing Taylor Road and Old Justin Road. The detour route will be well marked for drivers. Once the roundabout is complete, which should be February, work will begin on the west end of the project, John Paine to I-35W. Traffic will only be allowed westbound during this phase of construction. The Town anticipates this phase should be completed by April 26, 2021. The final phase of construction will be from the railroad tracks West to John Paine Road. This final phase will affect the Argyle Intermediate School and Country Lakes subdivision. The Town anticipates the project to be completed in October 2021.
