[ARCHIVED] Oncor Planned Power Outage Notice

Oncor Notice Planned Power Outage

Reminder: Oncor will be increasing equipment capacity this evening, Aug. 18. This requires a planned outage for Argyle residents to safely complete the upgrades. Crews will begin their preparations at 7 p.m. and power will be disrupted at 11 p.m. The power will remain out until upgrades are completed, no more than five hours. Oncor has agreed to complete this project in the middle of the night to provide the least disruption to households and take advantage of lower temperatures.

This upgrade is urgent because the equipment has reached its maximum capacity and August temperatures are stressing the equipment more. If the equipment fails, it will result in an 18-hour power outage to repair and replace it.

Many Argyle residents experienced a power outage on Thursday, August 3 from approximately 1:00-9:00 a.m. This equipment upgrade will affect those same homeowners. This should not affect CoServ customers.

If you have questions, please contact Oncor at 888-313-4747. If you experience a personal emergency during the power outage, call 911.

Oncor greatly appreciates your understanding as they take care of our growing community infrastructure.
