The Town is now accepting applications for the Comprehensive Plan ("Plan") Advisory Committee. The Plan is also known as a master plan or land-use plan and is a document designed to guide the future actions of a community. The plan provides continuity across time, and gives public bodies a common framework for addressing land-use issues. Argyle's Comp Plan was last reviewed in 2017 and approved in March 2018. The committee will review the plan with the Town Engineer's and provide feedback on the vision of Argyle. Those chosen for the committee should be commiteed to approximately 4-6 meetings with our consultant and/or Town Council and Staff.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment may hear and decide an appeal that alleges error in certain decisions and matters made by an administrative official of the Town in the enforcement of provisions of the Texas Local Government Code; hear and decide special exceptions to terms of the zoning ordinance; authorize in specific cases a variance from the terms of the zoning ordinance; and hear and decide matters authorized by an ordinance adopted under the Texas Local Government Code. Additional information concerning the duties and responsibilities of the Board may be found in Chapter 211, Texas Local Government Cod, and Chapter 1, Division 3, Section 1.05, of the Town’s Code of Ordinances. Meetings are called as needed.
