Permit Applications

*** NOTICE***

On May 21, 2019, HB 852, a Dallas BA and Texas Association of Builders priority bill, passed the Texas House of Representatives. The bill prohibits municipalities from using the valuation or cost of a residential dwelling to determine the amount of permit or inspection fees charged. The bill also prevents municipalities from requiring disclosure of the sales price, contract price, or other method for determining or estimating the value or cost of a residential dwelling.

Effective immediately, any residential permits issued by the Town of Argyle will not include the Building Permit Fee. All other applicable fees will still be assessed and collected at time of permit issuance. On June25, 2019, Town staff will present to the Town Council as proposed revised fee schedule for residential building permits to be adopted and go into effect on June 26, 2019. Any permits issued between now and June 25th will be sent invoices for the remaining building permit fee to be paid by Friday, July 5, 2019. Any unpaid invoices will result in inspection holds on the construction until fees are paid. Any permits issued on June 26th and forward will be applied the new residential building permit fee.

Starting January 1, 2019, the Town of Argyle will be requiring a digital copy of building permits in addition to paper copies to be turned in at time of building permit submittal.  This is to help us maintain better electronic records.  .TIF and .PDF files will be accepted but not .DWG (AutoCAD) files.

You can submit an electronic version of plans by email, a flash drive or a CD. If you are turning in flash drives/CDs, we will do our best to return these to you at the time of permit pickup so that you may recycle devices.
